For something more sedate but still performance-spec today, here are some pictures of the GT5 2007 Toyota Vitz RS 1.5.
Here it is wearing a White coat and pictured at San Galgano Abbey, one of the GT5 photo travel locations.
The 2007 Toyota Vitz RS 1.5 is a sports version of the base 2005 2nd-Gen Toyota Vitz which is known internationally as the Toyota Yaris.
Apparently the RS sports version of the Vitz was viewed as a "boy racer" in Japan.
In the game, I used it to win the Vitz challenge in B-spec.
It seems the Vitz had an own emblem at the front (at the rear is the Toyota emblem), not unlike the recently deceased Scion's.
The RS Vitz was a sports model.
I have a short story about a 2nd-Gen Yaris (as the Vitz is known almost everywhere outside Japan). No, I didn't have it but one of my neighbors did, having bought the car in 2006 or 07. For a while all was well, then some years later it started having some cold start problems in winter, which were resolved. Then in 2014 it had a breakdown, spent the entire winter parked, was taken away and repaired as soon as the spring arrived. Finally, late last year (2015) it had a major breakdown stranding the owner and was taken away somewhere never to be seen again. 8 years is all it could last. Small engine, short life, whatever the fuel economy benefits may there be.
