GT5 1976 Ferrari 512 BB

Another 1976 Ferrari 512 BB today.

This time it is in GT5, painted Oro Chiaro and is pictured at Ahrweiler - Town Square.

Unlike yesterday's Ferrari, this one does make it to the list of the best Ferraris and to the list of about 500 or so best cars so far.

BB stands for Berlinetta Boxer denoting body style.

The Berlinetta Boxer became Ferrari's second (the 365 GT BB was first) mid-engined car available to buy for general public, in the face of initial opposition by Enzo Ferrari himself who at first didn't believe in selling mid-engined sports car to the general public.

929 512s were built in six years, the final year being 1981. The final model was the fuel-injected 512i BB which became the most successful of the series, with  over a 1000 made until 1984.

Looks like there are three huge fans in there.

Styled by Pininfarina.
