GT5 1965 Shelby Cobra 427

Here is a 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 in GT5 pictures (no editing).

In Ivy Green (with racing stripes), it is parked here at San Gimignano - Town Square.

The 1965 Shelby Cobra is a version of the AC Shelby Cobra, i.e. Mark III, with a bigger and purely racing engine dropped in - the 427 Side Oiler, which also required certain modifications to the suspension.

There is some confusion as to who actually designed the car, whether it was Carroll Shelby or some Brits at AC. But the idea was Shelby's - in 1961 he wanted to fit a V8 into AC's Ace roadster.

Performance: top speed of 290km/h in a competition model; 0-100 (97) km/h in 4.2 sec.

Dashboard.

And now some on-track pictures at Eiger.
