The GT5 1968 Volkswagen Typ2(T1) Samba Bus is pictured here while parked in various spots at Lucerne Chapel Bridge - one of the GT5 photo travel locations.
The Type 2 is an important vehicle in the history of autos; it was built on a modified Type 1 platform (the "bug"). Praised for its versatility and including a camper van version, the vehicle was adopted by the 1960s and 1970s counter-culture.
The Lucerne dude is still here.
Air-cooled and rear-engined (where the vents are).
Engine: air-cooled until 1984.
